Professional Experience + Life Experience
Who I am & Why I’m Building This
About Me
From the time I could push a lawnmower, I’ve loved working – especially on things where I could see progress. My first paid gig was mowing the church lawn. It was tough work for a scrawny 12-year-old, but I loved everything about it: learning how to navigate hills on a riding mower, running a weed-whacker the same size as me, and watching the transformation take shape with every pass.
That same energy has followed me through life. As a kid, I was constantly rearranging furniture for better flow, typing as fast as I could on our first home computer, and playing “office” with a ten-key and file folders like it was my job. I didn’t want to just watch things happen – I wanted to make things happen. I wanted to see the results.
I doubt that will ever change.
A Career Built on Doing
I’ve worked across industries: food service, retail sales, office support, retail banking, print media, educational publishing, higher ed fundraising and program management, marketing, operations, and project management. Along the way, I’ve picked up a wide range of skills and built a toolbox equipped with nearly everything for almost any situation. I’m basically the human equivalent of a multi-tool.
I’ve never been able to choose just one path, but the throughline has always been clear:
I connect people with resources. I step up and figure things out. I solve problems.
Discovering project management was like finding the last missing piece of a puzzle. I love managing the moving parts – people, timelines, tools, tasks – and helping things run more smoothly. I love taking things apart to understand how they work, and offering practical, sustainable ways to make them work better. I love seeing something (or someone) that needs help – and knowing I can provide it.
Why I Started Activated Pursuits
Activated Pursuits is the “aha” that came from all of that.
It’s the culmination of what I’ve done, what I’ve learned, and what I’ve lived – and I’m still building. Every project, every client, every challenge helps me refine what this business can offer and who it’s built to support. I’m building something useful, flexible, and real – because, let’s face it, life doesn’t stay still and it doesn’t look the same to everyone, so neither should the solutions you find.
You’ve probably said it before:
“I just need someone to do this so I can do that.”
That’s where I come in.
Whether it’s travel coordination, research, planning, optimizing systems and processes, writing, organizing, or clearing clutter (mental or actual), I’m the person who helps you move forward – with less stress and more momentum.
You don’t need to do it all. You just need the right support.
Let’s figure it out – and enjoy the climb while we’re at it.

Jen was an absolute lifesaver to me during a very critical time in my life. She helped me organize a large amount of data and files and disseminate it into digestible data - categorized and the key information highlighted and organized in a way that I could provide a very important brief. This was all during a time I was overloaded and burned out and had a difficult time doing work that was extremely detailed. I was blown away by how outstanding her work was and she did it in a short amount of time. She is so amazing!!
